Family Caregiver Programs

Family Caregiver Program services are available to residents in five Illinois counties: Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Jefferson, and Marion.
Family Caregiver Program assists family/informal caregivers who are providing full or part-time care to an adult age 60 or older.  Available services: 
  • Information and assistance
  • Support groups
  • Consultation, advising, and counseling
  • Education and training
  • Assessment for respite care (temporary, short-term relief of caregiving)
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program provides support to family members who are providing care to a relative child ages 0 to 18.  Available services for those 55 and older:
  • Information and assistance
  • Support Groups
  • Consultation, advising, and counseling
  • Education and training
  • Respite care in the form of camperships, tutoring, afterschool programs, etc.

There are no fees for this service thanks to grant funding provided by Midland Area Agency on Aging.
